An individual was detained in the USC Village Monday afternoon after shouting near the Hecuba statue about freedom of speech and holding a sign reading “Sue USC.”
The person said they are a USC student and they had a right to express their opinion. DPS officers asked for the person’s ID and were filming someone who was taking video of the long interaction, witnessed by journalists.
