Imran Khan Faces Flak As Inflation Reaches 70-Year High In Pakistan; Saudi Sends $3 Billion Package

Inflation in Pakistan has reached the highest level in the past 70 years under the Imran Khan govt. The skyrocketing retail prices have triggered protests from citizens and opposition parties. Inflation has broken a new record with food prices doubling and prices of oil and poultry reaching an all-time high. Opposition parties have even called for early elections saying that the people of Pakistan want to get rid of the Imran Khan govt. According to local reports, Pakistan requires $51.6 billion in gross external funding over a two-year period to meet its demands.
