Rebar axe hand forged with a striker! (2020)

I show forging an axe of some thick rebar, with a striker. I am not an experienced axe maker, though it definitely was a fun tool to forge!
A section of rebar first is forged into a billet. This billet then has a piece of spring steel welded into it for the cutting edge, and then will have its eye punched and drifted.
After the final shaping of the axe, it can be ground clean and heat treated to give it a lasting cutting edge.
The axe is then handled, which will be charred for the aesthetics of it!
And then of course there is testing the axe out!
