Cambridge Azur 640C V1 CD Player Repair (With Audio Tutorial)

Fault
CD Player randomly skipping tracks or showing NO Play after CD is loaded.

Internal inspection confirmed brown corrosive and conductive glue on all circuit boards.

Brown glue removed and contaminated components replaced.

Optical Toslink socket replaced due to brown glue contamination.

Electrolytic capacitors checked and all found to be high in ESR and low in value.

CD recapped with Nichicon 105 Deg C rated capacitors.

Front panel push buttons intermittent in operation.
Push button replaced due to oxidisation and worn contacts.

CD assembly replaced due to extensive wear and of plastic component parts and motors.
