Sahelanthropus tchadensis - The First BIPEDAL Hominid 7mya?
In this video, I'm discussing a new discovery of a bipedal hominid 7 mya that was found in Chad. This hominid is potentially the earliest known example of a bipedal human.
If you're interested in hominids and prehistoric human evolution, then be sure to watch this video! This discovery has potentially shed new light on the evolution of human bipedalism, and could change our understanding of human evolution.
Sahelanthropus tchadensis, a creature that lived 7 million years ago, during the crucial period when our human lineage separated from the chimpanzees, is strongly supported by a new investigation, which was published in Nature. Sahelanthropus may be the oldest known hominin, the group that includes modern humans, extinct human species, and all of our direct predecessors. Exactly when early humans first broke away from apes and embarked on their own evolutionary path may be revealed by a blackened, shattered leg bone from Earth's prehistoric past. Early humans may have habitually used two feet seven million years ago, according to a fossilized find, which was discovered over 20 years ago. Many believe that bipedalism was the turning point that diverted our ancestry from the apes, in terms of evolution.
