Youth Wood Duck Hunt - You Win Some ,You Lose Some

Gavin had gone duck hunting with me all last season. He came for the experience, to be in the woods, to be with his dad. This was his first hunt , where he was driving , where he was going to be holding the firearm, where I sat back to enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, we were not able to get them into the decoys and get him a shot. But we had a memorable, fun, and beautiful experience none the less. It’s kind of good to learn the hardest lesson of hunting first. He was able to see, it’s not always about the kills, but about the journey. You win some you lose some. We will get him on them next time. Enjoy his first experience as the hunter.
