In this video, I'd want to demonstrate how I use different techniques to teach rhyming words and chant.
First, I teach the rhyming words and sight words with visuals. Once they are comfortable with words, then I utilize phrases with pictures, TPR (actions and expressions), and lastly a mind map.
For memorization, I use several games and simple activities to drill the sentences, and by the conclusion of the class, you can see that they can all say the chant fluently.
I've published this video to encourage teachers to follow this method and teach the students the chants, songs, and poems. This allows them to practice not only reading but also new words, sentences, and TPR while having fun learning.
