This Is The World's Deadliest Ocean Animal...
This is the World's Deadliest Ocean Animal.
It's not a surprise when someone answers the most dangerous predator in the ocean is a shark. This is because sharks have gotten a bad reputation for killing people whenever the opportunity arises. While sharks are indeed dangerous ocean animals, other deadly sea creatures have been discovered and others are yet to be discovered. After all, only 5% of the ocean has been discovered. Whatever creature that remains in the 95%, I'm sure you wouldn't even want to know. We've compiled a list of some of the deadliest ocean animals that you might want to admire from a distance. Without further delay, here is our list of the World's Deadliest Ocean Animals.

This red, white, and zebra-striped fish might fool you with its attractive looks, but it's among the dangerous creatures. Though the venom in their spines might not kill you, it is said that it would make you wish you were dead. They are commonly found in the Caribbean or Eastern Atlantic region. The Lionfish is a small fish but feared by even other predators in the ocean. They have pectoral fins and spines that are very poisonous. A lionfish’s sting is extremely painful and is said to cause nausea and sometimes may cause breathing difficulties. The good news is that they only use their gruesome stings only for defense and won't ambush you and poke you.
9. Cone Snail
I know snails were the least creature you were expecting to be found in this list. And that’s why it’s our number nine, we needed to surprise you a bit. The cone snail may look innocent, but just a single drop of their venom is enough to paralyze or kill 20 men. It measures 10 - 15 cm long and has a very attractive shell which makes it a favorite for shell collectors. They can be found in the deep reef waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, the Caribbean, and Red Seas. Apart from there, they can also be found along the coast of Florida and in the Indo-Pacific region which tends to have the most harmful toxin than others. The good thing with the cone Snail is that they are not aggressive chasers and they only attack when they feel threatened. Instead, they harpoon their prey with hollow teeth and inject their lethal venom. We recommend you, especially if you’re a shell collector, to be careful around this creature since the snail’s barbs are said to be able to pierce bare skin but those from more mature adults can even pierce a wetsuit.
8. Stingrays
If you didn’t know, an Australian bull ray was the one responsible for the death of the world-famous Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin in 2006, and just a few weeks after, the same fate followed an 81-year-old James Bertakis. For him, it happened that a stingray leaped out of the water into his fishing boat in Florida and stabbed him in the chest. Luckily for him, he didn’t attempt to remove the barbs from his chest and that action likely saved his life. But calm your nerves, Stingrays don’t hunt for divers and swimmers. They only attack self-defense especially when you step on it. The venom of a Stingray is extremely painful and some of the stings can even be fatal to humans. The venom is said to cause cell and tissue death and if untreated for long, your limb may have to be amputated. Stingray is found mainly in tropical and subtropical waters worldwide. With that, I hope you never get to step on one.
The Great Barracuda is also known as Sphyraena Barracuda is a species of the Barracuda. It has torpedo-shaped and can grow up to two meters in length. The fish is very fast in that it can swim at a speed of up to 25 miles an hour. It's also very aggressive and has extremely large and scary teeth that are known to cause a very painful bite. The Great Barracuda is known to attack humans but in rare cases. Most of these cases have occurred when the barracudas tried to steal prey from a spear or divers who were wearing shining objects. For those who are fishermen or just like to eat weird kinds of food, do not try to catch a barracuda for consumption because even in its death, a dead barracuda is dangerous as its flesh contains the ciguatera toxin. The toxin can cause serious symptoms from vomiting to having leg weakness of which can last more than three months. You wouldn’t want to experience that, would you? So stay away from the Barracuda
