Alton Bay Ice Runway Flying Arrivals

Arrivals landing at the Ice Runway on Lake Winnipesaukee in Alton Bay, Alton, NH

This is from February 3rd 2018 (NOT March, I dated the intro incorrectly) about 1145-1pm. Shot all on an iPhone 7 with frozen hands. Temps were in the low teens.

Lake Winnipesaukee is a very popular place with boaters during the warm weather months, however for a few weeks each winter (weather allowing) the area of Alton Bay which is also an area for sea plane operations freezes over enough to host a runway. It is very popular with pilots and public alike several restaurants near by make it a great place to check out for that $100 dollar burger.
