"Social Media in an Age of Polarized Politics" - Interview with Megan Metzger

Megan MacDuffee Metzger discusses the effect of internet on the political socialization of individuals, social media as a tool of political mobilization, social media as a leverage for opposition in authorization states, and the role of social media in Turkish politics vis-a-vis its neighbors in the region.

Metzger is a post-doctoral fellow for the Center for Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia & Department of Political Science, University of Wisconsin-Madison.

This interview was conducted on March 26, 2018, by Emre Hatipoğlu, Associate Professor of Political Science at Sabancı University and Visiting Scholar at Columbia University.
