“Last week, we launched a series on our Instagram stories testing out settings for denim fabric. Since then, we’ve had a ton of DMs requesting other types of fabric.. Let’s see how Velvet handles a laser 😉

The Details:
Cut: 75mm/s at 28% power
Engrave: 1200mm/s at 12% power
Machine: LS 1420 w/ 70w co2 laser tube
Material: Medium Upholstery Grade Velvet Fabric (100% polyester)

Fun fact: The laser beam seals the edges of the fabric once cut, so there is no need to use a sealant to prevent fraying on velvet.

We’ve had a ton of fun testing out these fabrics for you. Let us know what else you’d like for us to test on our co2 & fiber laser machines!”
