Corona Hat Challenge: embroider as you knit-pattern included

The challenge is a game we are playing in my Corona group on facebook. Group members ask to see a technique. I turn that technique into a simple hat pattern and demonstrate it on the CN 9. Really, any bulky machine may be used and I'll include tips for other brands as we go. To add interest, the hats are being knitted in one long strip using the techniques in my Stripping for Charity book which is available here.

This video is on creating embroidery as you knit on the Corona Knitting Machine and includes a children's hat pattern. I'm not at all certain whether this technique works on other brands of machine. I'll explore that soon.
