If you’ve perused Amazon recently, you might notice the plethora of smart home platforms available. The best part about the #AmazonEchoShow8? With a simple touch of a button, you can disable the microphones and camera to ensure your privacy. With so many privacy scandals plaguing Amazon, this feature was definitely a necessity. Of course, the main point of having a smart home platform in the first place is to connect all the IoT devices in your home, creating home automation and triggered actions. Alexa is the most popular voice assistant, with thousands of more users than Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit and Microsoft Cortana.
