[EN] Gaussian Splatting in Germany’s Largest Theme Park – Europa-Park in Rust

In July 2025 I spent one week at Europa-Park capturing the entire theme park (95 hectares), including the new multi-launch coaster “Voltron Nevera powered by RIMAC” in high level of detail. A variety of ground-based and aerial surveying systems were used, both before and after park opening hours. The result is a high-resolution, georeferenced 3DSG model.

The model provides an ideal foundation for vizualisations and planning of complex construction- and renovation projects in an overall context, for example in Unreal Engine, GIS, or CAD software.
