Enter the Ninja (1981) is the Cannon Group cult classic that single-handedly launched the American ninja craze of the 1980s. Franco Nero stars as Cole, a Vietnam veteran trained in ninjutsu who travels to the Philippines to help an old war buddy defend his plantation from a corporate land-grab — only to find himself in a final showdown with his dishonoured former classmate Hasegawa, played by the legendary Sho Kosugi in his star-making role.

This Menahem Golan-directed Cannon production kicked off the ninja sub-genre that would dominate VHS rental shelves for the rest of the decade, paving the way for Revenge of the Ninja, Ninja III: The Domination, and the entire American Ninja franchise. It's a must-see for fans of Cannon Films and 80s martial arts cinema.
