Agile planning saves time, but scares people who love certainty

Agile was built for one simple reason:
👉 The future is uncertain.

That’s why it became so popular in software and later spread to many other industries.

Agile says:
✅ plan task content
✅ define the right sequence
✅ but don’t pretend you know dates and tasks far ahead

Instead of detailed plans for the next 6 months, Agile focuses on:
👉 detailed planning for the next 2–4 weeks
👉 big “blocks” for everything further out

The upside?
👍 less planning effort
👍 more flexibility
👍 faster adaptation to change

The downside?
When someone asks: “So… when will this be ready exactly?”
❌ Agile doesn’t give a satisfying answer.

That’s why Agile works great in some environments and creates tension in others.

And that’s also why hybrid planning exists.

👉 In the next video, I’ll show you how hybrid approaches combine structure with flexibility.

👉 Want to know whether Agile actually fits your business or if it creates more confusion than clarity?
Send me a DM with the word “Method”, and I’ll send you our free questionnaire that immediately shows which planning approach is right for you.
