Zero To Hero: Howitzer Episode 1: The Chopping Block

Meet Project Howitzer, or what we are kindly referring to as Howie, a 2017 Ram 2500 powered by a 6.7L Cummins that, when completed, will be unlike anything you've seen to date. As you can see, the truck started life out as a regular cab, long bed that we have turned into a regular cab, short bed, something you can obviously not get from the factory. In sharp contrast to how you may think, and how basically anyone else would accomplish this feat, we actually married the existing long bed frame to a brand new crew cab, short bed frame, and done so at the factory joint, hence done in the exact same way that it would have been done from the factory. Now, you may question what this truck is going to be used for.....the answer is simple, off road and getting there with plenty of power and massive 42" tires.
