Codex is moving on-prem with Dell

OpenAI says Dell is partnering with it to bring Codex into hybrid and on-prem enterprise environments. That is a big shift for AI agents: instead of staying cloud-only, Codex is being pushed closer to private codebases, governed data, and internal workflows where real enterprise work happens.

OpenAI also says more than 4 million developers now use Codex every week, which makes this feel less like an experiment and more like infrastructure.
