Achieving Speed and Scale: Developing a Next-Generation, Efficient, and Resilient US Power Grid
To accommodate growing demand for electricity, the US will need to find ways to generate clean energy more quickly. AEI’s R. Richard Geddes and experts will explore strategies to help increase the speed and scale in adopting resilient, reliable, distributed, renewable, and US-controlled power. Discussion topics will include recent Federal Energy Regulatory Commission rules and power-generation technologies (such as solar, wind, geothermal, storage, and small modular reactors), key resources (such as strategic metals, component supply chains, and key dependencies), project-finance risks (including permitting, interconnection, regulation, site control, and time), and innovative business models.
