In this clip, I’m looking at the cell tower issue and the way it was used at trial. The State argued that Rashaun Jones’s phone put him near the crime scene, that he lied about being home, and that he likely took a specific route from his house to the Colony Apartments.

But, in a motion in limine, the defense argues the cell data did not actually place Rashaun Jones's phone at the crime scene at the time of the shooting.

So the question is not whether the evidence mattered. It clearly did.

The question is whether the cell data actually supported that argument the way it was presented.
