Renaissance Fashion in Venice and Florence
A fairly concise overview of Italian fashion during the renaissance, with particular focus on Venice and Florence. The script of this video essay was extracted from a larger research paper I submitted while I was obtaining my bachelor's. Most of my sources are, unsurprisingly, paintings from the time period. A note on the music:
Although Vivaldi was not a renaissance composer, The Four Seasons (1723) is one of my favorite pieces, and since it's from the Italian peninsula, I thought it fitting for the video.
