Uwe Hohn , THE ONLY JAVELIN THROWER TO GO PASS THE 100 METERS.

Uwe Hohn (Rheinsberg, July 16, 1962) is a former German javelin thrower, who wrote history by throwing beyond 100 meters.
On July 20, 1984, he drove a distance of 104.80 meters in Berlin Jahn Stadium.
This world record was a reason to change the rules of the javelin throwing for safety reasons.

The IAAF changed the center of gravity, so that the spear could be less advanced.
This type of javelin started a new world record list.
Nevertheless, the Czech Republic Jan Železný came back with a 98.48 meters throw in May 1996 (This record has not been improved yet).
Length: 1,98 meters.
Weight: 120 kg.
