One of the biggest pitfalls is Double Network Address Translation or "Double NAT" for short and I show you how to avoid it in your Ubiquiti Configuration. This is a situation where two routers live on a network and each create their own private address space. The result is double hops with translation of local IP addresses that confuses many games and other web services in addition to adding latency to your network. Today we look at how I connect my Ubiquiti Unifi Dream Machine Pro to the internet using an ATT provided BGW320.
