ALONSO shock move to Aston Martin CONFRIMED?

Fernando Alonso has signed a multi-year contract with the Silverstone based team - Aston Martin.

This means that Alonso will be leaving Alpine and replacing Sebastian Vettel who recently released a retirement video on instagram. This move allows for Oscar Piastri to replace the Spaniard at Alpine - which solves a massive headache for Alpine and could actually allow Nicholas Latifi to remain in F1 for another year potentially.

This move comes after some serious funding from Lawrence Stroll aimed at staff and facilities in Silverstone with a new wind tunnel on the way set to open soon that will help propel the team up the order - or at least, that's the plan.

Is this a good move for the 2005 and 2006 F1 world champion or will he suffer much like Seb?
