We are still at awe of Iceland as I go back over all the pictures and drone footage we took during our ten-day vacation there during March 2022. Iceland during winter is magical, and when the weather is clear, the views become spectacular. When we were driving along the south coast on the main road, route 1, just a little northeast of Kirkjubæjarklaustur, we found a nice waterfall just off the road with a nice little parking lot for viewing. Kirkjubæjarklaustur is a village in the south of Iceland on the hringvegur between Vík í Mýrdal and Höfn. It is part of the municipality of Skaftárhreppur and has about 500 inhabitants. It is surrounded by hills and plateaus to the north. Kirkjubæjarklaustur is roughly 190 kilometres east of the capital Reykjavik.
