Taiwan and the U.S.-China Relationship
Dr. Douglas Paal spoke as part of a panel discussion at the U.S.-China Policy Foundation's 26th Anniversary Virtual Gala on December 21, 2021.
Dr. Paal is a nonresident scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. His previously served as director of the American Institute in Taiwan from 2002–2006 and on the National Security Council staffs of Presidents Reagan and George H. W. Bush.
