Dear friends,

Much time has passed since we’ve last talked to each other. To be honest, I thought I had lost all the footage to this vlog but ended up finding it in my SD card again… perhaps it was a sign after all! technology right?

Anyway, how are you? By the time you’re watching this and reading this, we would have received the results after the election. I am relieved, but I know that this isn’t just one fix to all of our issues that we have been facing as a nation (I’m speaking to my US folks) and there is still much work to be done. But I do have hope, and it does make me excited to know that we are moving towards the right direction.

I hope you each are doing well, and that you have been taking some time for yourselves to release whatever pent up energy that has been building up over the past few weeks.

This particular week I was on a rollercoaster of emotions, my anxiety was heightened and above all else, I wasn’t mentally prepared to process how I was feeling about this school year. parts of me held back on sharing this because I know that this is a public space, and it is hard to be vulnerable when you’re under the spotlight of constant criticism but I also felt like it was important for me to share my experience in hopes of it bringing comfort to those of you who are, or will be entering my shoes.

I’m learning that creating these vlogs, and sharing bits and pieces of my journey has been really therapeutic for me, and that being human is absolutely necessary and okay. social media is an awesome space, but can also be a very unhealthy place if you aren’t careful. thank you for your kind words, and for sticking around my little corner on the internet. sending you all love and light wherever you are.
