It happened in a heartbeat. One moment Elise and Nicholas Sherry were splashing around in the water. The next they were being pulled out to sea, waves crashing over their heads. Somehow the kids made it back to shore but their parents died trying to save them. The Sherrys simply didn't realize how dangerous the ocean can be; nor did they have the knowledge, or the skills, to keep themselves safe. Rips are the unseen killers on our beaches.
