Hoot me my real-time entry for the Sumerian Records Vocal Contest. I never officially enter the contest, but I loved the instrumental and wanted to write some lyrics to it. For anyone wondering, my screaming technique is false cord screaming, not fry. I can do both, but I prefer false cord 99% of the time. After the contest, Sumerian Records claimed the copyright to my song. I tried to fight it, but they threatened to take down the video and give my channel a copyright strike if I did not remove my claim. I think it is messed up they released an instrumental for the public to write over, then claimed it. Now they are making money off my lyrics, image, and voice. I guess I should not expect anything less from a huge, corporate, money-hungry record label. Enjoy the song anyway, and keep on rocking!
