Finding gold is a fickle thing, it takes persistence, skill, no small measure of luck and perseverance. Its a rare day when you can step onto the creek right on top of a spot that produces good gold.

With the modern gold rush that we're currently in more people than ever are cutting their teeth in creeks across the globe. This leads to whole sale prospecting and soil movment on the most popular gold spots and can make reading and understanding creeks that much more difficult.
