Everything Was Slow… But It Wasn’t Bandwidth

The network was slow — but bandwidth wasn’t the problem.

AI detected latency across the network, yet utilization remained low and interfaces showed no signs of congestion. Users still experienced delays, making the issue harder to diagnose.

The real cause was a QoS misconfiguration, where voice traffic was placed in the wrong queue. This led to poor prioritization of time-sensitive packets despite available capacity. Once corrected, latency normalized immediately — no hardware upgrade needed.
