🚨Canada's Triple Threat: Alberta Hits -28°C | Thunder Bay Storm | Newfoundland Gets 50cm+
Three major weather events are hitting Canada simultaneously today. St. John's Newfoundland received over 50 centimetres of snow under an Environment Canada Orange Winter Storm Warning with wind gusts reaching 100 kilometres per hour. Schools closed, 3000 customers lost power, and the city shut down completely.
In Alberta, Edmonton remains under a Yellow Cold Warning with wind chills near minus 40 degrees and daytime highs of only -15°C.
Northwestern Ontario faces a Yellow Winter Storm Warning near Thunder Bay with 5 to 10 more centimetres expected and blowing snow gusting to 60 kilometres per hour.
