​Phase 1: Unpack and Prepare the Printer

​Unbox and Power On: Remove the printer from the box and take off all protective tapes and packaging materials. Plug the power cord into the printer and a wall outlet, then press the Power button to turn it on.

​Initial Setup: Follow the instructions on the printer's touchscreen control panel to select your language, country/region, and set the date and time.

​Install Ink and Paper: Open the ink cartridge access door, wait for the carriage to move to the center, and install the four HP ink cartridges into their correct, color-coded slots until they click into place. Load paper into the input tray.

​Phase 2: Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi Network
​The printer and your computer must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network (SSID).

​Enter Product Name: The site will prompt you to enter the printer model. Type in 6968 and click Next.

​Download the HP Software: The website will detect your operating system (Windows 10/11) and recommend the official HP Smart app or a full driver installer (often labeled HP Easy Start or Full Software and Drivers).

​Click the Download button to save the setup file to your computer.
