Woodturning - Why It Takes A Year To Make A Bowl - Part 1

Woodturning - Why it takes a year to produce a bowl - Part 1!

A short video showing the main processes of rough turning an oak bowl. The wall thickness is about 1" so that once the blank has dried (and warped) I will be able to re-turn the bowl to finish it. This process allows for much quicker and better drying as well as less turning time. The PVA glue is to slow down drying on the endgrain where it's most likely to split. Shame about the woodworm resident - once filled the holes should be unnoticeable once finished..
