Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin where today I wanted to show you how to safely and effectively layer azelaic acid and retinol for the perfect anti-ageing skincare pairing. These two amazing ingredients not only support with anti aging but also help tackle hyperpigmentation and minimise acne scarring so work well in everyones skin care routine.

Azelaic acid is one of the most searched skincare ingredients 2021 and for good reason as it is proven to minimise redness and inflammation in the skin, increase cell turnover and also minimise acne causing bacteria on the skin. This is on of my favourite skincare ingredients and there is an azelaic acid serum out there for every skin type

Retinol is one of the gold star ingredients in skincare with its proven ability to boost collagen production in the skin to minimise the look of lines and wrinkles, increase cell turnover and smooth out the complexion. Retinol can be difficult to first incorporate into your routine with some significant side effects which is why is pairs so well with azelaic acid to minimise these.

I am often asked can I use azelaic acid and retinol together and the answer is yes. Retinol and azelaic acid work amazingly well together when incorporated layered into your skincare routine correctly which is what I want to show you in this video.

Azelaic acid and retinol combine will help fade hyperpigmentation and dark spots, minimise fine lines and wrinkles and tackle acne scarring and acne marks.
