African cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera)
African cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera) is a widespread pest of global economic importance. The larvae are extremely polyphagous and feed on different plant structures including stems, leaves, flower heads and fruits. The high reproductive potential and mobility of the adult moths are further challenges for the control of this pest.
