Here's my first ever encounter with the Beluga XL landing at Hawarden Airport. I managed to capture #2 with a registration of F-GLXH.

The Beluga XL flies in to the Airbus Factory at Hawarden Airport to collect wings manufactured at the Broughton plant. This giant cargo plane or super transporter was developed to supersede the original Beluga aircraft that were modelled on the Airbus A300.

This Beluga XL (F-GLXH XL-2) had flown in from Toulouse and later departed for Germany. You cannot visualise how big these Beluga XL aircraft are until you see it next to a patrol vehicle. Watch the video at 01:16 if you want to see what I mean.

Hawarden Airport is a great spotting location and not only can you see the Airbus Factory and Beluga XL but there's lots of General Aviation going on and a superb café.
