It’s a sure sign of spring, as 22 swans and one Chinese goose waddled through Stratford for the annual spring swan parade.
The bevy made their way to the Avon River to the sounds of the Stratford Police Services Pipe Band, and the cheers of onlookers.
Thousands of people lined Lakeside Drive to watch the parade. The swans have been part of Stratford’s history since 1918.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the parade. It was delayed by two weeks to allow ice to melt from the Avon River.
