MAKING A SWORD / HAND FORGING / HAMMER TIME

Hello friends and welcome back to something you haven't seen me do before! I would have put this in the same bracket as a DIY project but how many people have a furnace and anvil laying about?
If you do though then I highly recommend pattern welding steel as a fun project if you've never tried it before!

This project has been a long time coming and I'm so thrilled to have finally made a blade out of this odd lump of steel I've had in a cupboard for about 2 years!
So join me for Part 1 as I try to make a Damascus steel longsword by hand! There will be sparks, there will (probably) be injuries and it WILL be entertaining!
