One day , while paragliding in Seoul, a tornado blows her off. As a result she crash-lands into North Korea. Ri Jeong-hyeok (Captain Ri) is a member of the North Korean elite and a captain in the Korean People's Army.
As he was patrolling , he meets Se-ri and saves her. Having decided to help her go back to south, he hides her from other North Koreans .
Over Time they fall in love despite and dispute between their respective countries.
