Rourkela: Naxal Encounter Near Odisha-Jharkhand Border, Two Naxals Killed

A gunfight broke out between police and JJMP Naxals near Salaiya forest in Latehar Sadar police station area, bordering Rourkela (Odisha) and Jharkhand. It is reported that two Naxals, including the supremo of the Naxal organization, were killed in the police encounter. Palamu Range DIG YS Ramesh has given this information. Latehar SP Kumar Gaurav had received a tip-off that a group of Naxals was present in Salaiya forest. After receiving the information, the police surrounded the area and started a search operation. During this time, an encounter started between the police and the Naxals. It is known that two Naxals, including JJMP supremo Pappu Lohara, were killed in this encounter. The police search operation is still ongoing.
