EU states divided over ICC request for arrest warrants vs Israel leaders | ANC

Soundbytes: The European Union supports the International Criminal Court (ICC) "for its central role in bringing justice to victims in all situations under its jurisdiction", a spokesman said on Tuesday (May 21) following a request by the court's prosecutor for arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his defence chief and three Hamas leaders over alleged war crimes. But member states express differing views, from deferral to outright rejection.
