Spectacular analysis by Vidit Gujrathi of his 13 games at Tata Steel Masters 2019

Vidit Gujrathi faced a big challenge at the start of 2019 when he qualified for the Tata Steel Masters. He was going to face the strongest players of his chess career in the form of Carlsen, Anand, Giri, Mamedyarov, Kramnik and others.

How would the Nashik lad fare? Would he be able to hold his own against the best in the world? Well, Vidit proved that he was a force to reckon with as he scored wins over Vladimir Kramnik, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Jorden van Foreest and with a score of 7.0/13 ended his tournament on a commendable sixth spot.
