This UK true crime investigation reveals how a Manchester-based organised crime group generated over £10 million through a large-scale trafficking network operating across Moss Side, Rusholme, Fallowfield and Ardwick. What started as a routine crash involving a stolen car in 2017 turned into a breakthrough moment for police after officers recovered multiple mobile phones containing messages linking young street-level dealers to higher-ranking members of the operation.

At the top of the chain was British ringleader Mohammed Sadigh, who controlled distribution, communication and cash flow using encrypted messaging and multiple phones. His network included his brother, mid-level suppliers, and young couriers responsible for delivering Class A and B substances across Manchester.

Over two years, Greater Manchester Police tracked the group, gathering evidence through phone messages, surveillance, vehicle seizures, forensic analysis, and a second police pursuit in 2019 where a loaded firearm was found—confirming the gang was willing to use violence to protect its criminal enterprise.

The group relied on stolen vehicles, burner phones, cash laundering and intimidation to maintain power and avoid detection. But in January 2023 at Manchester Crown Court, the operation finally collapsed. Five men were convicted and sentenced to a combined 42 years and 4 months, marking the end of a long-running criminal network that endangered neighbourhoods across the city.

This case is a powerful example of how a single mistake—in this case, a reckless police chase—can unravel an entire criminal organisation that believed it was untouchable.
