Improve your life by tracking these 7 things | What I track and how it works?
Hello everyone! In this video we'll be talking about keeping track of things to improve your life.
Have you ever wondered where did your time or money go? Or why you still couldn't lose weight even though you stopped eating? A good way to find out is to track it. In this video I'll share what I track, why and how it helps me (and perhaps, can help you too!) If you're interested, please keep on watching.
Why and what to track?
As a popular phrase goes: What gets measured, gets done. It might be a cliche, but it works to make the case. If you measure something you will be able to make an informed decision, hopefully, a better decision. And, as many things I talk about on this channel, it helps you get to know yourself better.
What to track? I see two categories:
- anything you would like to improve or change, e.g. of you'd like to eat less sugar, you can track how much you currently eat
- anything you're curious about (not necessarily with no intention to change it), e.g. how much time you need to finish a task
What I track?
— Weight
— Sleep
— Physical activity:
- steps
- workouts
— Reading
— Learking
- German
- Courses
— Performance at work
— Money
- Expenses
- Income
What else to track?
— Water
— More time tracking: what I spend on the social media, and on certain tasks: I often think things are clear and I'll do them quickly, but it's often not the case, Hence, I prefer to know!
