LL by Litkovskaya SS 2019

After a year of showing collections in Paris, Lilia Litkovskaya comes back to Ukraine with her younger brand – LL by LITKOVSKAYA.
Founded in 2013, it's already being sold in the USA, Asia (Korea, Japan, China), Middle East (Kuwait), etc. Nevertheless, it had never been shown in Ukraine yet.

"This brand is our field for experiments. We turn inside out not only the fabrics but our own techniques and codes. We deconstruct our heritage and to some extent, we go back to our roots"– explains Lilia Litkovskaya.

LL bases on the idea of casual clothing, convenient to live in in the city, but transformed in Litkovskaya's way. The heart of the collection is jeans and trenches. We use reversed denim - as a nod to grunge aesthetics, and as something that largely dictates the shape and cut of the collection. "All pieces of recycled denim are built on the basis of the cut of existing jeans. So we play with constructivism, we look for our volume, and we do it in the material that creates its own mood, "says Lilia.

The collection contains many references to urban subcultures – you can see it in silhouettes and in separate details - whether its shoelaces or bandana prints. The latter inspired a whole block of dresses, shirts, and accessories.

As for the mood – in SS19 strict minimalism is replaced by something more relaxed and feminine – dresses and outerwear of bright pink tones. Polka dot, perforations, floral prints. There also appears an important constructive element - knots. The bandanas are tied up, tied to something, wrapped with each other. Knots and soft draperies appear on T-shirts, on dresses and even on accessories. It’s the “New romance” of Litkovskaya.
