Circuit in Series-Parallel

This study examines the behavior of a series-parallel electrical circuit to better understand the relationship between voltage, current, and resistance. Series-parallel circuits are commonly used in real-world electrical systems, making it important to analyze how current flows and how voltage is distributed in such configurations. The circuit was constructed using a 9V battery, a switch, bulbs, and resistors arranged in three parallel branches, with each branch containing components connected in series. Observations were made by operating the circuit and comparing the brightness of bulbs in each branch to determine the distribution of current and the effect of resistance. The results showed that current from the power source split among the three branches, while voltage remained constant across each branch. Branches with more bulbs and higher total resistance had lower current and dimmer bulbs, whereas branches with fewer components had higher current and brighter bulbs. These findings confirm the principles of Ohm’s Law and demonstrate how resistance affects current distribution in series-parallel circuits. The study highlights the practical application of electrical concepts and provides a clearer understanding of how combined circuits function in real-life electrical systems.
