Recently, when we discussed our favorite countries we've visited together since we met almost a decade ago, Jordan crept to the top of the list. Traveling to Jordan leaves an impression upon you almost unlike anywhere else we've ever visited. Whether you're camping outside with nomadic bedouins drinking copious amounts of local tea or exploring the incredible ruins of Petra you'll never run out of things to do in Jordan. In fact, when it comes to countries we hope to revisit Jordan is at the top of the list.

If you're thinking about visiting the Middle East for the first time Jordan should be on your shortlist. Think camels, deserts, mountains, ruins and beaches. As country featuring 85% desert you'll surely spend time in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Red Sea. Some of the top places to visit in Jordan include Wadi Rum, Dead Sea, Petra, Amman, Aqaba, Mount Nebo and Jerash to name a few.
