How to Easily Keep Track of all your Altcoins and Bitcoins Automatically!

12-24-17 UPDATE: Google imposes a delay in updating the data of around 30-60 minutes. And coinmarketcap adds "USD" to the end of the importxml function output, so simply add a *1 to the end of the function and that will get rid of the USD. See below or open the file link to see the update.

This bitcoin and altcoin tracker will allow you to easily keep track of all your coins and it will update automatically throughout the day.

Function to import the coin price into your sheet:
=IMPORTXML("enter full coinmarketcap link here","//span[@id='quote_price']")*1

So for example, to get the price of BTC it would look like this:
=IMPORTXML("https://coinmarketcap . com/currencies/bitcoin","//span[@id='quote_price']")*1

(you will need to remove the spaces on both sides of the period after "coinmarketcap" and before "com" in the BTC example above)

Since I have posted this video, Coinmarketcap has changed the format of the price output slightly. So, to make things even easier just use the link below to make your own copy so you wont need to copy and paste or manually enter the data.
