Can you beat Terraria Expert Mode without movement keys? (Pt. 1)

So, no WASD. Our fellow Terrarian cannot walk, climb ropes, descend platforms, and a few other actions that are bound to these controls. And it's also Expert Mode now.
What kind of tricks one has to use to beat Terraria without movement keys in Pre-Hardmode?
(it would have been a full playthrough video but I wanted to go a bit more in-depth on mundane stuff like travelling across the world or mob encounters)
